Empoderamiento H2O

Aim: 

To Improve the quality of life of the people living in our communities, providing them with one of the most important natural resources for daily living activities, water. This program has three objectives :

1) give communities access to water. 

2) improve community health. 

3) promote the correct use of water without waste.

Family water harvest

  • Dual Storage: Equipment for storing water from two or more sources.
  • Extra Tank: Additional 250-gallon rainwater tank per household.
  • Water Safety: Safe consumption via ceramic-filtered dispensers.
  • Partner Support: Filter provision provided by Wine To Water.
  • Local Impact: Local community members take the lead effort.

Save water and sanitation commission

  • Commission Role: Manages water distribution and fees collection from the community citizens.
  • Maintenance Funding: Oversees monthly community fees for tank upkeep.
  • Training: Citizens receive education on responsible water use and sanitation.
  • Education Responsibility: Continual education of the broader community on water issues.
  • Stewardship: Preserves and conserves community rivers and watershed.
